If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, and have private off-street parking, you may be able to get up to £500 towards a home charger through the OZEV grant for renters and flat owners. We check this on every survey. For homes it's usually fine, sometimes with a small upgrade. For workplaces and car parks we calculate the load, and use load management to share the available power between chargers. Where a bigger supply is needed, we handle the DNO application for you.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most home chargers are installed in a single visit. Commercial installations are planned around your site, often in phases or out of hours, so your car park and business stay open. We'll agree the programme with you before we start.
Can I charge my EV from solar panels?
Yes. We're MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage, and many smart chargers can prioritise solar power. We also survey roofs with our own drone, so there's no need for scaffolding just to take a look.
