A neat, smart charger on your Cannock driveway
Cannock, Hednesford and Burntwood have grown fast, with lots of newer homes that have driveways and garages, so a smart home charger is usually a simple, single-visit job.
Every installation starts with a check of your supply, main fuse and earthing, so the charger is safe and won't trip anything else in the house. We agree the charger position and cable route with you first, set up the app with you, and tidy up before we leave.
We fit home chargers across the area, including:
- Cannock
- Burntwood
- Hednesford
- Heath Hayes
- Chase Terrace
- Chasetown
- Norton Canes
- Cheslyn Hay
- Great Wyrley
- Huntington

EV charger installation in Cannock & Burntwood: your questions answered
Can't see your question? Call your local team. We answer 24/7.
Do you install EV chargers in Cannock and Burntwood?
Yes. We install workplace, fleet, car park and home chargers across Cannock, Burntwood, Hednesford, Heath Hayes, Chase Terrace, Chasetown, Norton Canes, Cheslyn Hay and Great Wyrley. Call your local team on 01543 728138.
Can you move an existing charger?
Yes. If you've moved house, changed your parking or want a longer cable reach, we can move or replace an existing charger and test it again.
How long does a home charger installation take?
Most home chargers are fitted in a single visit. If your supply needs upgrading or the network operator needs to be told, we'll explain what's involved before we start.
Which home charger should I choose?
It depends on your car, your electricity tariff and whether you have or want solar panels. We most often fit Ohme, Rolec, VCHRGD, Tesla and Andersen chargers, and we'll explain the differences in plain English.
Is there a grant for a home charger?
If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, with private off-street parking, you may get up to £500 towards a home charger. Homeowners in houses aren't eligible for a grant at the moment, but a smart charger on an overnight EV tariff still keeps running costs low.
I'm a landlord. Can I get a grant?
Yes. The OZEV landlord grant pays up to £500 per socket, across up to 200 sockets, until 31 March 2027. We can install across a single property or a whole portfolio, between tenancies if that's easier.
Can my business get a grant for EV chargers?
Yes. Until 31 March 2027 the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme pays up to £500 per socket, for up to 40 sockets, for businesses, charities and the public sector. State-funded schools can get up to £2,000 per socket. As an OZEV-approved installer, we check your eligibility for your Cannock & Burntwood site and show the grant on your quote.
Is there a grant for a home EV charger?
If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, and have private off-street parking, you may be able to get up to £500 towards a home charger through the OZEV grant for renters and flat owners. Homeowners in houses are not currently eligible, but we can still install a smart charger at a competitive price.
Which EV chargers do you install?
We're registered to install all the main brands. We most often recommend Rolec, Ohme, VCHRGD, Tesla and Andersen, choosing the right charger for your site, supply, vehicles and budget. Every home and workplace charger we fit is a smart charger, as the law requires.
Will my electricity supply cope with EV chargers?
We check this on every survey. For homes it's usually fine, sometimes with a small upgrade. For workplaces and car parks we calculate the load, and use load management to share the available power between chargers. Where a bigger supply is needed, we handle the DNO application for you.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most home chargers are installed in a single visit. Commercial installations are planned around your site, often in phases or out of hours, so your car park and business stay open. We'll agree the programme with you before we start.
Can I charge my EV from solar panels?
Yes. We're MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage, and many smart chargers can prioritise solar power. We also survey roofs with our own drone, so there's no need for scaffolding just to take a look.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form below or call your local team. Tell us whether it's for a business, a car park or a home, and roughly how many chargers you need, and we'll arrange a survey and send a clear, fixed quote.
