Do you install EV chargers in Birmingham?

Can the Tesla Wall Connector charge other cars?
Yes. The current Tesla Wall Connector has a Type 2 connection in the UK and can charge other electric cars, although smart features through the Tesla app are designed for Tesla vehicles.
Do I need a smart charger by law?
Home and workplace chargers installed in the UK must meet the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. We'll make sure whichever charger you choose is compliant.
Can I get a grant towards a Tesla charger?
If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, with private off-street parking, you may get up to £500 towards a home charger. Homeowners in houses aren't eligible for a grant at the moment, but a smart charger on an overnight EV tariff still keeps running costs low.
Can my business get a grant for EV chargers?
Yes. Until 31 March 2027 the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme pays up to £500 per socket, for up to 40 sockets, for businesses, charities and the public sector. State-funded schools can get up to £2,000 per socket. As an OZEV-approved installer, we check your eligibility for your Birmingham site and show the grant on your quote.
Is there a grant for a home EV charger?
If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, and have private off-street parking, you may be able to get up to £500 towards a home charger through the OZEV grant for renters and flat owners. Homeowners in houses are not currently eligible, but we can still install a smart charger at a competitive price.
Which EV chargers do you install?
We're registered to install all the main brands. We most often recommend Rolec, Ohme, VCHRGD, Tesla and Andersen, choosing the right charger for your site, supply, vehicles and budget. Every home and workplace charger we fit is a smart charger, as the law requires.
Will my electricity supply cope with EV chargers?
We check this on every survey. For homes it's usually fine, sometimes with a small upgrade. For workplaces and car parks we calculate the load, and use load management to share the available power between chargers. Where a bigger supply is needed, we handle the DNO application for you.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most home chargers are installed in a single visit. Commercial installations are planned around your site, often in phases or out of hours, so your car park and business stay open. We'll agree the programme with you before we start.
Can I charge my EV from solar panels?
Yes. We're MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage, and many smart chargers can prioritise solar power. We also survey roofs with our own drone, so there's no need for scaffolding just to take a look.
