EV charger installation nearby
Do you install EV chargers in Blackheath?
Yes. We install workplace, fleet, car park and home chargers across Blackheath, Rowley Regis, Old Hill, Cradley Heath, Tividale, Oldbury, Langley and Halesowen. Call your local team on 0121 285 0136.
Do I need a 7kW or 22kW home charger?
Almost all homes have a single-phase supply, which limits home chargers to about 7kW. That's plenty to fully charge most cars overnight. 22kW chargers need a three-phase supply, which is more common at businesses.
Tethered or untethered?
A tethered charger has a cable permanently attached, which is convenient. An untethered one has a socket, so it looks neater and suits different cars. We'll help you choose.
Is there a grant for a home charger?
If you rent your home, or own and live in a flat, with private off-street parking, you may get up to £500 towards a home charger. Homeowners in houses aren't eligible for a grant at the moment, but a smart charger on an overnight EV tariff still keeps running costs low.
Can my business get a grant for EV chargers?
Yes, while the OZEV schemes run (until 31 March 2027). Businesses and charities can get up to £500 per socket, landlords up to £500 per socket across up to 200 sockets, and state-funded schools up to £2,000 per socket. Your fixed quote shows the grant clearly.
Is there a grant for a home EV charger?
There's an OZEV grant of up to £500 for people who rent, or own and live in a flat, with private off-street parking. It isn't available to homeowners in houses, but we'll tell you straight away whether you qualify.
Which EV chargers do you install?
We install all major makes and most often fit Rolec, Ohme, VCHRGD, Tesla and Andersen chargers. For commercial sites we'll also recommend the right back-office software for access control, billing or usage reports.
Will my electricity supply cope with EV chargers?
Usually, yes. Our survey checks your incoming supply, main fuse and earthing. Smart load management can balance several chargers on an existing supply, and where it can't, we arrange the DNO application.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Home chargers are usually fitted in a single visit. Larger commercial projects depend on groundworks, cable runs and any supply upgrade, and we plan them so they cause as little disruption as possible.
Can I charge my EV from solar panels?
Yes. Pairing EV charging with MCS-certified solar and battery storage lets you charge from your own generation. Our drone surveys show quickly whether your roof is suitable.
How do I get a quote?
Call your local number or use the form. We'll arrange a survey at a time that suits you and follow it with a clear, fixed price, with no obligation.
